If Kia can figure all this out why can't a company like Honda do that same? With the advancement of technology in cars it is becoming a huge part of my decision so I am seriously thinking of migrating away from Acura. like multiple phones pairing, playing music from a different phone in the car than the one paired for calls. I am driving a 2015 MDX now as a loaner and the phone issue is fixed there.took them 3 MDX models to get it right.but other companies are far ahead with what can be done with BT in their cars. One thing I hate about Hond and Acura is that they are always behind on technology smartness and functionality. It is something that Acura engineers programed the HFL to behave. Went to the dealer and they replaced the HFL but changed nothing. On my 2011 Advanced I initiate a call on the phone, I hear it ring on the HFL but when they answer the car then sends it back to the phone.the stupidest thing to do. On my 2005 when I want to make a call I have to dial the caller for a split second and end the call then go to my HFL button on my steering wheel and say "Redial".that works and gets the call through the HFL. The BT on them sucks !! it is unpredictable and often leaves the person on the other end thinking I hung up on them. They work flawlessly and also even have smart voice recognition and phone book features. All the cars I rent have no issues with all the details above. Also, I expect to be able to hang up and answer from the steering wheel controls. When receiving a call regardless of where I answer it from it should route to the car's BT. I expect that when I make a call on my phone it automatically gets transfered to the car's BT and that I can hear the ringing and then continue the conversation when the person answers. ![]() I pair my phone to every car that has Bluetooth and ALL of the cars I rent (GM, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai, Infinity, Kia, etc.) I have found that all work beautifully with my iPhone. I too have this frustration where the phone and HFL is not as smooth as expected. ![]()
